Fund Development

This department has a key role in both generating support for the KFA and its programs, and in relationship building for the KFA. This is a two person department, comprising Jackie Saunders and Troy Sumrall. They create the Foundation Focus newsletter (twice yearly), the monthly e-Newsletter, and the various appeals and special reports. As well, the Fund Development department manages a series of public presentations designed to introduce new people to Krishnamurti and the work of the KFA, and provides mentorship for start up or continuing operations of independent dialogue and study groups.

Donations are key to the KFA continuing to share Krishnamurti's work around the world. The KFA operates at a significant deficit each year, in order to keep momentum on its core projects, such as digitization of the teachings. If you have a question about programs, donating, or regional presentations, you can contact Jackie or Troy by clicking here. Or perhaps you are inspired to make a gift, which you can do by clicking here.

Krishnamurti Library & Archives.

Wendy Smith is the long-time administrator of the Krishnamurti Archives, and Doug Evans supervises the operations of the Krishnamurti Library. Both operations are housed in the same building in Ojai, California. Wendy identifies which archived materials are at risk and need urgent preservation, which have already been preserved, which have been digitized, and which need to be digitized. Wendy works closely with the Krishnamurti foundations in the U.K. and India. All three foundations have collaborative projects to do with completing a digital archive of all the materials they hold, and complex database tracking for such a huge collection.

Doug coordinates the Krishnamurti Library. His extensive knowledge of the collection is helpful for scholars and the public. To review the hours for access to the library, click here.

College Student Summer Study Program

Richard Waxberg is the director and co-facilitator of this unique two-week study-intensive that examines the seen and unseen operations of the human mind. This is a fully-immersive program that challenges college students to inquire into a totally new way of living, and to consider a different dimension of existence beyond the thought-based patterns of the mind. Students enter into two deep interactive dialogues together each day that help them to develop a ground for self-knowledge and self-discovery. Students also watch video tapes of Krishnamurti and read from selections of his writings. You can find out more about the program, offered both in Ojai and British Columbia this coming summer.

Adult Summer Study-Intensive & Retreat Program

Richard also directs and co-facilitates the Adult Summer Study-Intensive & Retreat. This program gives participants the rare opportunity to enter into a sustained, in-depth, fully-immersive exploration into Krishnamurti's teachings without distractions, for an entire week. Through the shared process of two penetrating dialogues each day, we examine our accumulated conditioning that unconsciously shapes and limits our perceptions of life. We also explore the possibility of discovering a totally new mind, free of fear, conflict and confusion that allows insights into a totally new dimension of living. You can find out more about the program, offered both in Ojai and British Columbia this coming summer.

Teacher's Academy
Krishnamurti devoted years and many talks to explore the ways education both conditions the individual, and its potential to nourish the whole human being beyond the limits of codified knowledge. The Teacher's Academy was started as a way to share Krishnamurti's work on education AND to share the practical implementation of a "revolutionary" education. Paul Herder is the director of the Teacher's Academy, a three-week residential intensive for educators. Participants come from all over the world. This summer will be the third year and the program is expanding to two locations (Ojai and British Columbia). For more information you can click here.
